ALISON KELLY is an accomplished film and television cinematographer.  She has a background in anthropology and fine art, and became interested in film because of its power to tell stories in a uniquely compelling way.  Throughout her career, Alison has collaborated with both emerging and established directors, earning acclaim for her ability to adapt to many styles and genres.  Recently she worked with director Angela Barnes on the Marvel series IRONHEART created by Chinaka Hodge and produced by Ryan Coogler and Sev Ohanian.  Alison filmed episodes of The Lincoln Lawyer for Netflix and shot the pilot and first season of BIG SHOT, a David Kelley production for Disney+.   Her work can also be seen on highly-acclaimed series such as DIETLAND from creator Marti Noxon and GRAND HOTEL from Eva Longoria and Brian Tanen.   Alison has worked on independent films such as ALASKA IS A DRAG from filmmaker Shaz Bennett, A HAPPENING OF MONUMENTAL PROPORTIONS from director Judy Greer and INVENTING TOMORROW from director Laura Nix.  Projects Alison has photographed have screened at many film festivals including Sundance, the New York Film Festival, SXSW, and Berlin, among others.

When she’s not behind the camera, Alison enjoys investing time in building community, experimenting with photography, and spending time with her family.  She is dedicated to mentoring aspiring filmmakers and sharing her knowledge through workshops and industry panels.  Alison holds a Master of Fine Arts in Cinematography from the American Film Institute and is on the Cinematography Peer Group Executive Committee at the Television Academy.
